Hello, my name is Sam. I am a Graduate Student in the Synthetic Landscapes program at the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc). I initially entered SCI-Arc’s B.Arch program driven by a curiosity about how spatial experiences influence wellness, connectedness, and community. Over time, my focus shifted toward the role of complexity in design. My attraction to complex systems naturally led to an interest in infrastructure and its relationship with our communities and environment. I have been dedicated to this direction since completing my thesis and was grateful for the opportunity to further explore these questions in the Synthetic Landscapes program.
